MHA to open the Senior (62+) Project Based Waiting list                                Legacy at Walton Heights Apartments

COMING SOON – FALL 2020!

The Marietta Housing Authority (MHA) will open its waiting list for Senior (62+) project- based voucher (PBV) units, currently under construction near the corner of Barrett Parkway and Chastain Meadows Parkway NW.

The Legacy at Walton Heights is located just minutes from I-75 and I-575 with convenient access to public transportation, excellent dining and shopping.

The waiting list will open September 16, 2020 beginning at 9am and will remain open until there is an adequate number of applicants to support the 28, 1-bedroom units. The list is for project-based voucher units only. The Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is NOT open.

MHA housing is available to individuals and families earning less than 50% of Area Median Income (ranging from $28,950 for a single person and $33,100 for a household of two). If there are 2 members of the household, both must be at least 62 years of age.

Pre-Applications are available online only. You cannot apply in person, nor can you apply by calling MHA. If you are not comfortable using a computer, we strongly suggest you seek assistance prior to the waiting list opening. You must have a valid email address to complete the online pre-application process. An email address can be obtained at no charge from the following vendors: Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail.

It is not necessary to have all your documents ready when you submit your pre- application. You will be asked to provide basic information–your name, Social Security Number or Alien Registration Number, family composition, contact information, and accessibility accommodation requests. Please keep your contact information up to date.

When you reach the top of the waiting list, MHA will contact you by email. You must respond within 14 calendar days of receiving MHA’s communication to keep your spot.
